Literature Text

A walk through green pastures,
A long country drive,
Reminds me of a place,
I always felt alive.
I miss all the stars,
In the night sky.
The sky was so big,
No small spot was dry.

On hot and long summer nights me and my sister would watch every star.
It was mesmerizing.
Enchanting.
All the stars danced. You could see every star.
That's how it felt.
The clear black sky was never in one spot dark.
It was a deep, hypnotizing  purple.

And now I look into the faded, dark and worn blue of the city sky.
It's tired.
Only seven stars sing their song of woe.
I miss stars that sing of glee.
I wish the sky were the same way it Used to Be.
We lived in the middle of what seemed nowhere. No we live in Kettering, Ohio. I miss the part of Ohio that was nowhere.
